Can anyone help me or could anyone help me?

Writer John Peck

There may be a small difference depending on the context but they are essentially interchangeable. You can also say ‘can somebody help me’ and ‘can anyone help me’.

Can anybody help me meaning?

‘Can somebody/anybody help ME? ‘ suggests giving attention to you, instead of somebody/anybody/someone else.

Can anyone vs Can someone?

Someone can do it – at least one person can do it. Anyone can do it – any person (or better everyone) can do it. More examples as you asked are here.

Can somebody help me grammar?

“Somebody helps me” is an indicative sentence telling what happens. “Somebody help me” is an imperative sentence, asking for help. The first is possible but unlikely as a complete sentence.

Could or can you please?

Both are correct. The first is more direct, and the second is more polite. Could you please . . . gives slightly more room for refusal than Can you please . . .

Can vs could use?

Can, like could and would, is used to ask a polite question, but can is only used to ask permission to do or say something (“Can I borrow your car?” “Can I get you something to drink?”). Could is the past tense of can, but it also has uses apart from that–and that is where the confusion lies.

Are anyone or does anyone?

Do you know why ‘Does anybody’ is correct? ‘Anybody’ is a third person singular form and takes -s in the present simple tense. That’s why the question form requires -s and ‘Does anybody’ is correct.

What is difference between someone and anyone?

We use someone in positive sentences (I saw her with someone) and anyone in questions and negative sentences (Have anyone seen him? I didn´t tell anyone) They can be both used with uncountable nouns (some money) or plural nouns (some people).

Which helps me or which help me?

We help. You help. They help. If you are not using a pronoun but some other noun, then you use the third person forms, “helps” for singular and “help” for plural.

Could you please help me in this regard Meaning?

Does anyone want or wants?

The statement is a shortened form of “Does anyone want a drink?” and would be shortened to “Anyone want a drink?” “Anyone wants…” is the proper form for a statement, for example, “Anyone wants to be loved.” “Anyone” is considered a singular subject and therefore requires the verb form “wants” to be in agreement.

Do anyone of you or does anyone of you?

‘Anybody’ is a third person singular form and takes -s in the present simple tense. That’s why the question form requires -s and ‘Does anybody’ is correct. The same would apply to ‘Does anyone’, ‘Does anything’ etc.

Has anyone or have anyone?

It shouldn’t be, DenaEden, because it’s always “anyone have.” Anyone is singular, so just as you’d say “does he have” or “does John have,” you’d also say “does anyone have.”

How do I get someone to help me?

Here’s the best advice I heard.

  1. Ask in person. Hit their desk.
  2. Do a favor that helps your colleague. Or, depending on your cynicism level, call it: Bribe them.
  3. Make it easy to help you. You’re already asking someone to do something that’s a distraction from their own tasks.
  4. Get their buy-in on helping the company.

Can someone or anyone?

Can somebody help me out meaning?

To give or provide someone with something. A noun or pronoun can be used between “help” and “out.” Any chance you can help me out with the name of a good plumber?

Will you or can you?

May implies that you are asking for permission. Can implies that you are questioning somebody’s ability. Will implies that you are seeking an answer about the future.

Although “anybody” is in the third person singular, and hence the correct verb form used with it must contain an “s” (as in “anybody who has read the book …”), “have” in the situation described above is the only “correct” option. Why?

When should you use anyone or anybody?

Anyone and anybody have no difference in meaning. Anybody is a little less formal than anyone. Anyone is used more in writing than anybody: I didn’t know anybody at the party.
