There is no reliable method to check whether an email has been read. Use read receipts very sparingly for when you want to communicate extra urgent/important emails. If you would like a person to confirm receipt of an email – ask them in your email message.
Can emails disappear from sent?
Do expiring emails disappear on the sender’s end? No. Expiring emails remain in the “Sent” folder. This means that people who use expiring emails should make sure to permanently delete folders in their sent folders, if they don’t want any trace of them to exist.
Why email is not showing in sent items?
If you don’t see the Sent Items folder, you may need to change your Outlook settings. You can find your Sent Items folder in your folder list. If you have multiple email accounts in Outlook, each email account has its own Sent Items folder. Click Sent Items in the folder list.
