- Go to the account recovery page.
- Enter one of the following: Phone number (recommended) Email address. User ID.
- Follow the instructions. We’ll customize them based on the info you provide and whether we recognize the device.
Does TurboTax desktop automatically save?
Yes, TurboTax Online automatically saves your work as you progress through the tax interview. When you sign out your progress will be saved and you can sign back in and file your return at a later time. To sign out, simply click Sign Out at the bottom left of your screen.
Can you download TurboTax on two different computers?
You can install TurboTax CD/Download on up to five different computers. Each installed copy can prepare different returns.

How do I recover my 2018 Turbo Tax?
You have to sign onto your 2018 online account using the exact same user ID you used to create the 2018 online account. Close all TurboTax windows on your web browser (including this one). Copy and paste the account recovery website link onto a new web browser window and run the tool.
