If you have not paid for or registered your TurboTax return then you can use the Clear and Start Over feature to downgrade. Select My Account, then click on Clear & start over.

Wouldn’t let me file without choosing Turbotax Deluxe???? Keep in mind that the different TurboTax “flavors” handle different tax situations and their associated forms.
Why was I forced to upgrade to deluxe?
Tried Basic, but was told that I needed Deluxe to claim my 2017 State Refund as income. Seriously considering dumping TaxAct. I bet it’s the 1098E. I am also a long time taxact user, and this year they wanted to force me into the deluxe category as well.
