If you e-file, you can generally get initial refund information 24 hours after the IRS acknowledges receipt of your return. If you file a paper return, refund information will generally be available four weeks after mailing your return.
How long does TaxAct take to deposit?
It may take your financial institution 1 – 5 days to deposit the funds into your account. If you requested a paper check this means your check has been mailed. It could take several weeks for your check to arrive in the mail.
Why is my TaxAct return taking so long?
Taxpayer has certain delinquent federal debt, such as student loans, etc. The last name and social security number of the primary taxpayer must be the same as on last year’s return or the return will be delayed at least one week for re-matching. (Use the name as it appears on the mailing label of the tax package.)
