Your eligibility for a $1,400 stimulus check is based on your adjusted gross income—here’s how to calculate it. When filing your taxes, your AGI can be found on line 11 of the 2020 Form 1040 and on line 8b of the 2019 tax form.
Is the stimulus check calculated on AGI?
Stimulus check formula basics Here are the major variables that plug into the formula: Your AGI, taken from your 2019 or 2020 federal tax returns (or the last known information the IRS has on file.) In other words, the IRS calculates a partial payment if you don’t qualify for the full amount.
Is the $600 stimulus check based on AGI?
An ITIN filer who made $75,000 or less (total CA AGI) is eligible to receive a $600 Golden State Stimulus payment. You will receive the payment in the same way you got your tax refund. The timing of payments for ITIN filers is the same as the CalEITC.
Will I get a stimulus check if I make over 150k?
Yes. An individual with an AGI of up to $75,000 would receive the full $1,400 check; a couple filing jointly with an AGI of up to $150,000 would receive $2,800 ($1,400 per eligible person). A head-of-household filer with an AGI of up to $112,500 would receive the full $1,400 check.
Do you get a stimulus check if you make over 150k?
The amount of the stimulus check is reduced once AGI exceeds these limits. An individual (either single filer or married filing separately) with an AGI at or above $80,000 would not receive a stimulus check. A couple filing jointly would not receive a stimulus check once AGI is at or above $160,000.
How does the stimulus check phase out income?
Stimulus Phase-Out Ranges (they are different for each payment): Once the AGI for a filer hits the income limit for the full stimulus check, the amount of the payment is reduced by $5 for each $100 above the threshold. The payment amount phases out completely once a filer’s AGI exceeds the maximum AGI for the filing status.

How old do you have to be to get a stimulus payment?
For our purposes, these are considered 2020 amounts. The first stimulus payment was $1,200 per adult and $500 per dependent child under 17. The second stimulus payment was $600 per adult and $600 per dependent child under 17. Unfortunately, dependents 17 or older are out of luck.
