How do I get a CT61 form?
Apply to submit CT61 forms. You have to request this online but HMRC will send you a paper form – yes they are still in the dark ages on this one! You will need to pay interest and complete a CT61 form on a quarterly basis.
Are CT61s still required?
The obligation to withhold tax at source can catch out unwary companies, giving rise to penalties. Once upon a time, not so long (about 15 years!) ago, there was a form called a CT61, which was very much part of a corporate tax adviser’s life. CT61s do still exist, but nowadays they are far less commonly seen.

Companies must complete a form CT61 to account to the Collector of Taxes for income tax deducted from interest and other annual payments. The form CT61 is used to make a return of annual payments and claim for relief for income tax deducted (ITA 2007, s. 945).
