The payment has been rejected by the receiving bank because the beneficiary account name does not match the beneficiary account number. Please check the recipient account details and amend where necessary prior to trying again. If you continue to experience difficulties please contact the payee.
Why would a bank transfer be rejected?
Payments can either be automatically rejected (e.g. where an account has been closed) or returned following a manual review by the payee’s bank (who may not be able to accept the payment). In both cases, the money will be sent back to your account immediately and will show as a contra entry on their statement.
What is a faster payment recall?
Faster Payments are processed in matter of seconds and once your payment is sent, it cannot be stopped or reversed. If you do make a mistake (such as paying the wrong beneficiary, or sending the wrong amount), there is no guarantee that money can be recovered.
What is a faster payment ID?
When a Faster Payment is processed, the narrative displayed on your account statement is expanded and provides additional information as follows: a two digit code relating to the type of payment. a unique reference number relating to the payment (known as a Faster Payment ID – or FPID).
Can a bank transfer be denied?
