Introduction. This document provides Agency Program Coordinators (APCs) with a general overview and guidance on processes and procedures necessary for the successful execution and daily operations of their Organization’s Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) Program.
How does a GTCC work?
The Government Travel Charge Card Program (GTCC) provides travelers with a safe, effective, convenient, and commercially available method to pay for expenses associated with official travel. Personal use of the travel card or using the travel card to pay for someone else’s travel expenses is prohibited.
What happens if I don’t pay my GTC?
Failure to pay the bank can result in termination of charge card privileges and/or salary offset. Don’t allow your travel card account to become delinquent. Delinquency occurs on the first day after the due date.
How do I turn on GTC?
If you have a government travel charge card, please make sure your new CitiBank card is activated. Go to or call CITI at 877-905-1861. As of May 6, 2019, CitiBank is the official Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) provider.
